Among the attendees are Amru & Jidin (organizers), regulars such as farizhilmi, Acaii, Freakdiver, Diela_Norain, Mohd_Amirul, Berx, Ninjad_08, Belakios & Our friend from Sabah Ali Dahlan. The roti Arab (with beef gulai) was also a hit! memang sedap.

The Story of "Aira & Aziz - Majlis Pernikahan"

| Quote: | Assalamualaikum semua. On Saturday I'm very lucky to be given the job of capturing Aira &Aziz's big day. The majlis was held at TTDI's Masjid At-Taqwa. A simple affair but a very emotional. Since a picture tells a thousand words, feel free to browse through the whole set here.
For those getting married/engaged, my services for 2009 will be more towards photojournalistic style. That means I go with the flow, continuously shooting everything (candid moments) and less posed pictures. I shoot from 800-1200 pictures per event. And you may get around 50% to 75% of those pictures. That alone is worth my rate because the pictures will last longer than any of the pelamin, food, dress, flowers and hantaran of your big day.
As for pictures, I strive to get more artistic & candid moments during an event. My aim is to reduce post production and concentrate more on getting the effect that I want during the shoot. natural looking pics do look better than over processed pics. And they will last longer after the current trends in editing had passed.

The Story of "Updates January"

Assalamualaikum semua. Today takde gambar baru nak update just wanna write something about my work.
Sedar tak sedar dah hampir habis bulan satu 2009. Azam tahun baru...masih banyak yg belum start buat. Yang bagusnya tahun ni lagi baik dari tahun lepas in terms of kerja-kerja fotografi. January last year saya baru berhenti kerja...dan buat fotografi secara full time. This year I think I'm wiser, better in shooting pictures dan more stable (financially and also the company itself).Pagi tadi baru je shooting majlis nikah pasangan Aira & Aziz di Masjid At-Taqwa TTDI. I've prepared 2 new lenses for the shooting session. Baru beli Sigma 30mm f1.4 semalam and pinjam Nikkor 85mm f1.8 from Jidin.
Both lenses are definitely very sharp and gives beautiful bokeh effect (that blur background yg membezakan subjek and background). Getting inspiration from Overseas photographers..inilah hasilnya. Kebanyakan mereka invest on expensive but quality lenses. Shot about 1200 pics using my 2 D80's. Maybe tomorrow I'll edit some and upload them at EnchantedFOREST's flickr page.
Wedding jobs for 2009 dah banyak confirmed bookings (yang paling padat in March & July). Alhamdulillah something different from past years. To those who are getting married this year (or next year).don't hesitate untuk call Amru at 013-3893113 for an hour of free consultation at our enchantedSTUDIO in Section 9, Shah Alam. Lagi elok kalau book awal. Because when you know your photographer early and follow his/her works by the time your wedding, more or less dah boleh expect apa yg akan dapat.
I'm very lucky to get such cool couples so far. From Kedah to Terengganu, Melaka, Penang, Pahang, Selangor & KL. Kalau dapat international wedding pun best! I'll just keep my fingers crossed lah..hehehe. Tapi kalau camtu kena lah charge in USD.. 
Continuous education is very important. Last year I've been to courses such as Photoshop Editing (by Kukubesi), Ranismata Outdoor Potraiture (by Kukubesi & didiz Fotokahwin) & Basic Studio Lighting (by Ted Adnan). This year I planning on going to a course by Louis Pang (one of Malaysia's most expensive wedding photographer). It's time I go out of my comfort zone and start experimenting.
One of my wish for 2009 is to move up from my D90 to a more pro D700 (or D3 if I got the money lah..). But estimating that I need around RM15K just for 2 bodies of D700...nampak gaya kena tunggu sikit lah...Lenspun agak expensive but have high resale value. If all goes well by second half of 2009 dapat lah merasa Full Frame body. Several of my photographer friends pun dah kena racun dengan D700 ni.
My daily life so far lebih banyak duduk di studio (buat kerja editing, layan clients, shoot studio sessions) everyday except Rabu. Which is my movie day. On weekends yang ada shoot or personal appointments I will be at the studio lah. Just call me if ada yang nak datang. Our door is always open.

The Story of "Farouq & Shida"

The wedding is held a day after Farina & Zol's wedding in Kedah. I arrived by bus around 6 am, take my bath, copy the previous day's pics into my Macbook, backup into another hard disk and went to the nearest McD for my breakfast. After that went to Serdang for the shoot. From 11am till 8pm...I was sooo tired afterwards I slept for 10 hours...hahaha
The ceremony is unique because the Groom's friends became the swordbearer during the arrival of the newlyweds and also the cake-cutting ceremony. Afterwards we went to Putrajaya for some outdoor potraiture. But as you can see, there's no Putra Mosque, Palace of Justice, PICC or bridges in the pics. I don't wanna do those typical malay wedding shoot in front of the Prime Minister's Office. My style means new pics for the couple...hehehe..I love the spotlight shot.

The Story of "Adri & Amirah Engagement"

| Quote: | Majlis Pertunangan Pasangan Adri & Amirah berlangsung pada Sabtu 10 Januari yg lepas. My first paid job for the year! Adri is a schoolmate (masa form 1). Lepas tu dia tukar sekolah. Tapi still family duduk Shah Alam. We hang out tpgether with the gang once in a while. Bertugas sebagai engineer for MISC (kerja atas kapal)...Adri biasanya kerja on board kapal for 6 months and then balik shore for 2-3 months.
They met about 1 year ago. Dan decide to be engaged in January. Lepas Adri balik dari tugasan atas kapal, in October akan dilangsungkan majlis perkahwinan pula...All the best guys!
Majlis pertunangan yg simple ini berlangsung dengan cepat sekali. The negotiations dalam 20 minutes and majlis sarung cincin dalam 5 minutes. Adri datang masa orang tengah makan. Menu yg disediakan pula....Nasi beriani gam...memang masyuuuk. Siap ayam masak merah & gulai kambing. I ate 2 rounds...huhuhu.
Bagaimanapun...congrats kepada Adri & Amirah (yang sangat happy dan kuat gelak..I like sebab banyak expression yang cute dalam gambar). Nanti kahwin jangan lupa engage Amrufm as your official photographer ok!

The Story of "Farina & Zol's wedding"

| Quote: | Farina Ariffa & Zol's wedding telah berlangsung di Alor Star, Kedah. The exact place tu tak ingat nama tempatnya....tapi near Sungai Korok & Anak Bukit. I Stayed at Farina's family home for 2 days. The first day tu rehat, makan & tidur je sebab plan asal nikah 1 day and sanding the second one.
Malam sebelum nikah family Farina busy dengan persiapan perkahwinan manakala bakal pengantin menjalani acara khatam Quran. Majlis Pernikahan berlangsung pada pagi Sabtu 27 Disember 2008 di Masjid berhampiran. Majlis bersanding dibuat di rumah dengan menu yang sangat simple. Nasi putih, Sup Utara (daging lembu fresh, disembelih pagi itu juga), Kari Ikan Talang dengan terung, Air asam, Buah tembikai dan air sirap. Laksa juga disediakan sebagai side dish.
Habis majlis saya terpaksa jadi driver pengantin untuk sesi outdoor photography. Bendang, tali air, jambatan buruk dan juga Kota Lama Kuala Kedah menjadi sasaran kami. Habis shooting lebih kurang 7 malam (Start shooting jam 8 pagi - Farina mekap di Alor Star).

Assalamualaikum semua.
Berita awal 2009. Saya akan berada di studio most of the time, every day of the week from noon till malam (except rabu - my off day..hari tengok wayang .
+ Kuruskan badan Amru! Chayo chayo!
+ Kumpul duit. Full frame is calling...hehehe
+ A car maybe?
+ More work, more jobs, more money.
For new year eve, macam tahun lepas..lepak bersama rakan-rakan baik geng Shah Alam di rumah Faizal Sani, Seksyen 2. Dekat je dengan rumah saya, Wafi & Shahrul. Lepak dari 8pm sampai 3.30am. The potluck was a success. Macam2 makanan ada...dari Spaghetti, Macaroni cheese, Pizza, Meehoon, Hot Dog, Potato Salad, Ice-cream, Fruit Juices, Carbonated Drinks, Nata De Coco, Caramel Pudding and Chocolates. Yang datang ada lah 20++ dengan anak-anak lagi.
We played Cranium..Shahrul bawak dari Australia. It was a blast! A simple board game yang mengambil masa 2 1/2 to 3 hours to finish. Yang main 3 to 4 groups of 3 to 5 people each. Bising rumah sebab semua galak sangat...hahaha.
