The Story of "Back to work!"

As per my tradition, the full entry of the holiday experience will be uploaded later. Just a sneak peek of what I've shoot in Kuching, here are 6 of my HDR experiments. HDR stands for High Dynamic Range and each of the pictures was the result of combining 3 pictures (neutral, over exposed and under exposed pics). The intended result is a picture that is rich in colour (while eliminating wash out sky or deep shadow).
The first 3 was taken in Bako National Park. Beautiful place. Worth lugging my D80 & the 18-200 VR lens for 4 hours.

Well.....today I resume my normal day routine....waking up early, taking breakfast, doing a lot of daily chores, editing pics, sorting them, designing albums, making calls, went to UH for my bi-weekly Platlet donation, buying new memory cards (my 4GB SD card went kaput last week) and updating my facebook, friendster, fotopages and flickr.

The story of "Holiday time! & pics of our launch day photoshoot"

Assalamualaikum all.
I'll be going on a holiday to Kuching on the 9th till the 12 of July. Its the annual CS224 gang holiday. Last year it was Langkawi and Penang. This year its time to go oversea (hahaha...still cuti-cuti Malaysia though).
After working like crazy for the past 2 months.....May is committed with the establishment of our new studio, June is full with wedding assignments and editing works. So now in July, I think I deserve to take a break. Because in August things are gonna get a bit hectic (full wedding calendar for the first 3 weeks).
Our studio is doing quite fine. We've done convo shoot, group shoot, product shoot and also profile shoot. If you're a photographer, do come and shoot at our large and spacious white room (not to forget our big black backdrop (can accommodate 5 standing adults). If you wanna us to shoot your family, couple or just basically anything, do call me or any EF crew ..... the numbers are at the top of this fotopage.

The Story of "Kimi & Syazana Wedding"

| Quote: | Majlis perkahwinan Kimi & Sya telah berlangsung pada 22 Jun yg lalu bertempat di Dewan Bankuet MBSA. This is my 3rd time shooting a wedding at the hall (agak gelap...quite a challenge). Bagaimanapun segalanya berlangsung dengan lancar. And for the record, Kimi is my good friend @ classmate @ member rapat @ Bokhari' younger brother.
Persiapan pengantin dibuat di rumah family Sya di Seksyen 9. Kemudian rombongan bertolak ke dewan sekitar 12.30pm dan segala acara selesai pada jam 2pm. Tiada bersanding dan merenjis untuk pasangan ini. But they do have the cutest video clip. Tetamu datang bertali arus sehingga jam 4pm. Rakan2 pengantin dari UTP, RMC, Shah Alam, Gombak datang dalam kumpulan yg agak besar. And we had fun shooting for group pics . Around 5pm I took the pengantin for a little outdoor session di luar bangunan MBSA and I thought we get some pretty good pics...hehehe
All the best to the couple. Even though both of you look pretty young (they're only 24!) I think both of you are perfect for each other. |

| Quote: | The third LT for the year held last Friday at the usual place, Galeri Tasik Shah Alam. Kudos to the organizers for organizing one great gig (as always). The list of budding artist is a bit different but I personally prefer the previous shows. Yang ni kurang menyengat.
Due to the stage is practically GELAP, all pics are shot using my D80 without any strobes (My SB800 rosak and is at Nikon Malaysia undergoing surgery). ISO is set at 800 and using either 50mm f1.8 (50% of the time), 80-200mm f2.8 (40& of the time) and the 10-20mm (towards the end) with popup flash. Oh yeah the last shot I borrowed fariz's SB800 for the Arus pic.
Had to shoot in manual focus sebab cannot focus properly. Sometimes had to rely on other people's flash to get the focusing right. Good challenge and I think I did all right.

The Story of "ET/Ikram & Mazidah/Zulikram - Majlis Sanding"

| Quote: | My first double wedding. Kak Mazidah dan Abg Zul telah bernikah semingu lebih awal. Dan masa hari persandingan ini jadual mereka adalah ketibaan pada tengah hari, makan dan bersanding. Pasangan Ikram & ET pula bermula pada 2pm. Habis semuanya ada session bergambar dengan gown & suit. Lepas asar kami keluar untuk outdoor session dan habis semuanya pada 6pm.
Penatnya memang penat sebab shooting direct dari 9am - 6pm. Tapi puas sebab dapat cuba sesuatu yg baru...hehehe

The Story of "ET & Ikram - Akad Nikah"

| Quote: | Ikram & Maziati (ET) is my junior masa Diploma Sains Komputer UiTM Shah Alam. Tapi masa degree jadi same batch la pulak. Sekarang Ikram is a PTD attached to the Parliament while ET works for PSMB UiTM (Pusat Sistem Maklumat Bersepadu).
Majlis pernikahan mereka ni dijalankan pada 24 May yg lalu di rumah family ET di Jengka 5, Pahang. Segalanya berjalan lancar dan ikram sah menjadi suami ET dengan sekali lafaz. Dah namanya PTD, suara memang lantang..satu masjid dengar...heheheh

Enchanted Forest is growing and the list of things to be done is endless. Well It's a good thing actually because I don't carry the title of "Starving artiste". At least for now...hehehe.

- Finishing Ikram & ET's albums (wedding in Jengka 5 - pics coming soon).
- Kimi & Syazana's wedding reception at Dewan Bankuet MBSA.
- Corporate profile for Rehanstat Sdn Bhd
- Commisioned work for Pija's Art & Craft products
- Finishing several studio shoot at our Enchanted Studio
- Commisioned work for Sekolah Safinatun Najah
And an announcement: The UK Trip slated for JUly is POSTPONED due to lots of work to be done here in Malaysia. Maybe next year la

Although the lighting condition is much to be desired (I can't get to shoot them in the morning due to their classes)...I had to shoot during overcast days at around 1pm and 4 pm. There's where Photoshop comes handy
The school administration loves it. As the boys and girls do look lovely and happy. What do you think? |

The Story of "Akad nikah Ijai & Zaza"

As for the majlis, semuanya berjalan lancar dari ketibaan pengantin lelaki. Ijai berjaya melepasi detik2 suspens dengan sekali lafaz sahaja (diikuti sorakan dari family Zaza ). After that sesi merenjis dan bergambar.
