A quick recap for last week's activity.
- Busy busy busy setting enchantedSTUDIO. Pics and more announcement by end of the week. And also invitation for our launch party.
- TT session Shah Alam #13 at Restoran Jayati Section 7. About 80++ photoskool forumers attended. From 9pm till 5.15 am.
- Attending Phototalk by 2 Reuters Photographers. Mr Zainal Abdul Halim & Bazuki Mohammad. Whole day on Saturday.
- Shooting models at Taman Tasik Shah Alam with Photoskool forumers. Pics at my flickr here.

+ Semua training session/shooting session yg dirancang berjalan lancar
+ Got my new SB800 & a second hand 50mm (permbelian tak dirancang hehehe  )
+ Just bought a second hand D80 (Abigail @ Aby) from a Photoskool forumer. Thanks Kuchai!
and the -ve part is....
- My beloved 80-200 lens kena fungus teruk...RM240 for the repairs....huhuhu
- My raincoat tertinggal atas motor one night balik dari meeting....then dia terjatuh atas exhaust motor...lansung cair lengan tu...kena beli baru RM80 pulak dah
- Bateri handphone baruku (not even 3 month) dah bengkak....underpowered and cepat habis...beli baru lagi RM80
- A cousin get hit by a trailer (he was riding a motorcycle). Kaki kiri hancur, kaki kanan patah. The left leg kena amputate atas lutut.
- A neighbour kena heart attack suddenly while talking to a friend (through Handphone). He was already dead masa the friend tu datang ke rumah (sebab suspicious kenapa tiba2 terputus). He was only 46 y.old. Alfatihah.
and the coming soon part is....
- Buy extra batteries, SD cards, external HDD
- MUST BUY DRYBOX...tatahan asyik kena fungus aje..hehehe
- Macbook .... tunggu sikit lagi fund cukup boleh beli

| Quote: | Sunday morning without any paid job waiting are rare for me....in order not to waste precious time, me and my crew decided to organize a training session at Fariz' home in section 7. Potraiture, lighting & macro are the main agenda for the day.
After a light nasi lemak breakfast, we started with macro....and some potraiture. My 60mm Micro lens proved to be an excellent buy. Capturing sharp and close up pictures of insects & flowers at the garden.
We then move inside for a mini studio session. Fariz' family become our models. Anan shows some lighting setting (Rembrandt, Butterfly & broad light) for us to try.
We then hit the swimming pool. Trying the D300's ability of 6fps...we tried to capture "walking on water"....hehehe...My picture came out tops. But the pic is still with Fariz..need to get it later. |

After lunch, me and Fariz went to Dewan Bahasa & Pustaka (DBP) in KL for a theatre performance titled "Pentas Opera" by UiTM students from the Faculty of Artistic & Creative Technology (Dahulunya Fakulti Seni Persembahan).
Persembahan yang sangat mantap selama 2 jam (Kami sampai 2 minit sebelum persembahan bermula). Tak ada salah dan silap selama persembahan tersebut. Part yang lawak..memang lawak. Part sedih...memang sedih. Part askar Jepun yang hanya cakap "Baguuuuus" memang kelakar. Part tarian dan nyanyian memang bertenaga. Rasanya inilah kali pertama menonton teater. Konsert memang dah banyak kali. So...setting kamera boleh agak-agak la. My 80-200 f2.8 lens is verrry handy in taking low-light pictures. Kalau dah ada D300 mesti lagi best...boleh boost ISO sampai 2500
Saya pergi pun atas Kelab Foto Seni Budaya (jemputan pengerusi En Eddy).

The story of "Faizal & Mastura -Majlis Persandingan"

| Quote: | Selesai majlis nikah, esoknya pula majlis sanding. Bermula dengan persiapan di hotel, bergerak ke rumah pengantin perempuan. Berarak masuk ke rumah, majlis merenjis & makan beradap. Bab makan memang sedap. Tak cukup dengan nasi dn lauk pauk...ditambah pula dengan bubur pulut hitam & bubur kacang. Laksa pun ada....memang puas makan....hehehe (Aku ni sibuk makan pulak....).
Selepas selesai melayan tetamu yang datang (memang ramai walaupun di Kedah hari Ahad adalah hari bekerja), kami pergi mencari spot menarik untuk outdoor shoot. Padi memang takde....nasib lah orang dah habis tuai padi...yang ada bendang kosong aje..hahahaha! Akhirnya layan aje lah rumah kongsi buruk yg dijumpai. Janji rock.
To Faizal my best friend merangkap member simpang/geng mandi swimming pool/Main magic/warhammer/makan kat coffee shop (banyak kenangan kelakar berkawan dengan dia ni), Tahniah. Jaga Mas elok-elok. Jadilah suami yang Mithali. Nanti aku kahwin tahun depan kau kena bertugas masa wedding aku pulak...hahaha

The Story of "Editing Evolution"

Original picture by Berx. Picture of his sister-in-law Nabilla (cute kan!). Editing 2nd, 3rd and 4th pictures guna original file yg low res. 5th, 6th & 7th picture dari high res original picture.
KIta bersihkan muka. Hilangkan parut jerawat (tak banyak pun), blemish, minyak, eyebags bawah mata, putihkan gigi sikit. Tools digunakan ialah Healing brush dan a pair of very steady hands.
I used my own smooth skin photoshop action for this one.
Colour pop version. Tapi gambar jadi agak kekuningan.
Versi overlayed dengan texture. Gambar asal yang high resolution (Thanks Berx!)
This one bagi nampak as anatural as possible. Ada letak sikit high pass sharpening. Dan juga colour balance.
My personal favorite. B&W version guna action high key B&W. Bahagian muka yg agak cerah kita burnkan supaya details tak hilang dan supaya gambar lebih punchy. I love B&W pics yg ada very dark black area and light area.

| Quote: | Went to Summit Climbing Gym at Summit SJ. A friend of mine, Salfarina aka Sal yang ajak. Went on a weekday hence the emptyness of the gym. Took the BRSIC course (a basic belaying course) and because I didn't bring any partner cannot climb the top rope section. Dapat buat boulders aje.
I'm still in the process of reducing my weight (and my waistline). Memang agak pancit la masa mula-mula. 2 hari my fingers numb. Next time will try to ajak faizal or fariz. ada geng yg jadi belayer baru la best.
